FMC001.

Size     :  14cm x 7.5cm x 7cm.
Weight :  685g.

Description :  This specimen is far nicer than I've been able to capture in the images.  It is a very significant example of sharply terminated crocoite in this rarer and more robust crystal habit.  The crystals have top lustre and redder colour.  There are some damaged crystals present but these are subtle and not obtrusive.

FMC033.

Size     :  12cm x 21cm x 23cm.
Weight :  5530g.

Description :  This is far nicer in person than I have been able to capture in the images and it is a very significant specimen.  There appears to be two generations of growth present, with the earlier larger crocoite crystals a redder colour and the later fine crocoite crystals a brighter orange.  The larger crocoite crystals are all sharply terminated.  The display area of this specimen is almost completely free of damage and has none which is obvious or detracting.

FMC035.

Size     :  12.5cm x 14cm x 19cm.
Weight :  3140g.

Description :
This is also far nicer in person than I have been able to capture in the images and is a very significant specimen.  This is one of  the best crocoite specimens in the collection and is just about as good as they get.  The crystals have great lustre and are mostly a redder colour.  There are both hollow and solid sharply terminated crystals present.  The white mineral present looks like it may be dundasite but could be gibbsite, it makes for an attractive addition regardless of what it is.  There are very few damaged crystals present and these are subtle and inconsequential.

FMC074.

Size     :  11.5cm x 10cm x 7cm.
Weight :  911g.

Description :  My images completely fail to do justice to this fabulous specimen.  It is the best of this type that I have ever seen and as far as I am aware it is probably the best example of this crystal habit ever found.  The crystals have the top lustre and are a more red colour.  There is no significant damage anywhere on this specimens display area.  While not as popular with some people as the longer, thinner crystal habit this form is actually far rarer.  It is also far more robust which is one of the reasons why I personally like them so much.

FMC075.

Size     :  12.5cm x 14.5cm x 9.5cm.
Weight :  1585g.

Description :  If not for the damaged crystals present on this specimen then it would have been up there with FMC074.  It is still a very nice specimen indeed, with many sharply terminated crocoite crystals, it is just missing a few when examined closely.
The majority of crystals are complete and terminated, with those that are broken being subtle and easy to overlook.  The crystals have good lustre, are slightly translucent and are a more red colour.
